Netinary offers a full range of autonomous access controllersThese are appliances that are positioned between the access network of the nomadic user and the operator's Internet access. Placed in between, the MultiBox forces the visitor to authenticate through a customizable web interface or 802.1x. The access to the Internet or network can be configured based on the user profile and its locationit is possible to restrict access for a whileat certain timesto certain applications and with limited bandwidthWe can then define resource (such as a financial server, router, or a sub network of IP addresses), services (such as HTTP, FTP, POP3) and control their access for different users.

The MultiBox is an efficient solution, easy to setup and operate, that provides a user-friendly and simple Internet access to the guests, while ensuring a fast and effective management to the administrator. It is available in two ranges of autonomous appliances: the Prime MultiBox (PMB) and the Local MultiBox (LMB), depending on the complexity and site specific needs.

Key points

Zero config
The "Zero configuration" feature overcomes any configuration work on the user terminal and reduce support needs. All devices are instantly recognized. The MultiBox controls access to the network of the roaming whatever the configuration (IP address, DNS, proxy settings and messaging)It thus frees technical constraints before and after visit on the site for more comfortable use of the service.

« A la carte » management of accounts
In order to respect the most varied connection policies and to offer the most appropriate management of accounts, the operators can create accounts in multiple modes (batch, import files, etc…). The user is also entirely autonomous while using the service through a customizable portal to auto create accounts. Validation by TEXT messages, emission or reception, email checking by sending a clickable link, provide a better traceability of the visitors.
Besides, all or part of the account management can be delegated to a non-technical staff without installing a software on his computer. This interface of accounts management is completely customizable by the administrator.

Security
The appliance is placed between the access network of the nomad user and the Internet access. The MultiBox controller protects your network by authenticating users before they access the resources. Authentication, as well as a potential online payment, is done on a secured environment and the communication between the user device and the controller is encrypted (SSL). Besides, a firewall protects against intrusions, and the controller manages the black lists / white lists according to their IP, protocol and address range.

Legal requirements
Directive 2006/24/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 March 2006 requires the retention of user data connection between 6 and 24 months depending on the country and their subsequent elimination. The MultiBox allows the administrator to collect, store and easily find information without resorting to an additional product.

Netinary solution is also compliant with GDPR, in the limit where the operator does not carry out customization of non-compliant configuration.

Administration
The user-friendly web interface guides the administrator during the routine management as well as during reporting or during analysis. Most tasks can be automated and planned (backups of logs or of configuration, offers activation,…)

Continuity of service / Important load
Critical sites need to manage a great number of users and/or a high availability. A cluster of Multibox set in load-balancing makes it possible to manage several thousands of users while assuring redundancy.

Customizable captive portals
The MultiBox offers many possibilities of captive portal customization by using skins (standard username/password portal, CGU, Auto-login,…). It is also possible to develop a portal and to upload it on the appliance or to host it on a web server.

WEB Services
The WEB Services API allows to interface the MultiBox with existing or future business applications (badges management, boarding …).

Integration with existing databases
A MultiBox can interface with external databases, such as Active Directory or other kind, by using LDAP or RADIUS protocols. Besides, the Web Services API facilitates the interface with third-parties business applications. Dedicated modules are also available for most of the PMS and VOD solutions.

Billing
Connection billing can be done on the reception terminal (no specific software needed) or directly by Credit Card, Paypal or PayBox. Billing can also be done using existing business solutions integrated in the PMS, VOD interfaces or the Web Services API.

Web filtering
Fully integrated in the MultiBox, the Web filtering feature makes access control to websites according to the user's profile possible (parental control, unlimited free access...). The standard solution provides 5 basic categories. The optional module of Advanced Web filtering brings about over 90 preset categories but the administrators can also define new ones. The Multibox automatically updates the categories.

Push content module
The Push content module targets the users according to criteria (service use, user data,…) and address customized content in real time on their device or through email, SMS, dynamic display,… So the MultiBox allows to integrate WiFi in your Marketing mix.

802.1X and EAP authentication
To implement the 802.11i standard and EAP authentication on an Enterprise WiFi infrastructure, the MultiBox acts as a RADIUS server, allowing users to authenticate with the EAP PEAP, TTLS or TLS methods.

Management of several WAN links
If some sites require a large bandwidth, the MultiBox can distribute the flow over several WAN links (for instance over several ADSL) in order to increase the available bandwidth and remedy defects on the lines.

If critical sites have to support a large number of users and/or high availability, a MultiBox cluster in load-balancing can support thousands of users while ensuring redundancy.
